BE HERE

To Be Here.  Everyday life , Time ,  Moment.
Sometime I feel how a lot of things I miss to recognize in ordinary life,  and only mind rush away tomorrow
and the day after next or somewhere.  But if we would just do simply to stay and look around for a while
in daily life, we could find a something anew in the things and own circumstance with fresh eyes.
Then we could find a bit ourself how we luckily live in own significant circumstances.
The things buried in everyday life like a common glasses, view one sees and people, give vivid colours quietly.
I would like to share with the visitors such a common regular life through my art works based on the sketches.
It should be wonderful to be here. Yes, should be so.
SKETCH
Sketch is the simplest creative activity and one of the basic expressive medium.
If you would take an each own wall away to the subject whatever as a human or landscape,  you could get
closer to it. Therefore to share time with the object by drawing sketch, gives you an opportunity to rediscover
yourself.

Introduction   Part-2    -   Exhibition   ‘ Breath ’    Plan    for    Gallery éf
■ ( Touch the world )   -   なぜスケッチなのか。

Why sketching ?
The most of my art works in the London era ( Apr. 1999 – Nov. 2003 ), was composed by my inner images and thoughts. I would like to be and cross in the new world by sketching after living in London.
I would like to share with the visitors such a common regular life through my art works. Own circumstance
and the regular life is not only a tiny part but cetre of the world. Therefore the core of work process in
exhibit preparation is going to be collaborative work of sharing time with the outside world.
I also feel Kura of Gallery éf which is almost 150 years old, has the spirit of certain inheritance in time passage.
Time is also the principle subject in this exhibition as well. I think that the meaningful exhibition will be held
in Gallery éf by to harmonize with concentrated time and unique atmosphere in there.
Exhibition Title    ‘ Breath ’
The title of this exhibition ‘ Breath – ( Kokyu ) ’ is symbolized to existence in present.
A number of art works which consist the project, can be an each ‘ breath ’ in the exhibition.
How to Exhibit  @   Gallery éf    -

An original sketch is transferred on OHP films, and they are colored on back side, then it is mounted on vinyl
chloride sheets. Blank space is cut away, and placed them front of the wall surface in the background.
A glossy artificial surface of the wok is minimized by to cut blank space out, and you can look the wall and
beam in the gallery through the art works. Using metallic colours such as Silver, Pearl, etc.. for the each of
art works.  The subbed colour emphasize the lines of art works based onthe original sketches.
